Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Canton

Canton waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the East Granby Crusaders. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Canton took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-11, 25-11.

Mia Whilby paced Canton's offense, picking up nine kills. Whilby got some help from Sophia Mazza and her 12 assists. Whilby was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Canton's record is now 4-0.

Canton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Northwestern Regional on the 12th. As for East Granby, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Bolton on the 15th.
