Meanwhile, Northwest Area had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They took down the Golden Knights 66-47. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Golden Knights are ranked 580th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest Area pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
