Basketball Recap: Waukon Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

Waukon won the last time they faced La Crescent/La Crescent Montessori & Stem and things went their way on Monday too. The Waukon Indians snuck past the La Crescent/La Crescent Montessori & Stem Lancers with a 46-42 victory. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 119th in Iowa, while the Lancers are ranked 351st in Minnesota), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Waukon has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for La Crescent/La Crescent Montessori & Stem, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.
