Volleyball Recap: Long Branch Gets the Win

Long Branch won the last time they faced Lakewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Green Wave walked away with a 2-0 win over the Piners.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 28-26.

Long Branch's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Lakewood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Long Branch will take on Middletown South at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakewood, they will host Roselle at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
