Softball Recap: Palo Verde Valley Comes Up Short

Palo Verde Valley fell victim to Calexico and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Yellow Jackets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Palo Verde Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Lee, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Palo Verde Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Calexico, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

While Palo Verde Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
