New Castle has gone a perfect 8-0 against Rushville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Trojans will host the Lions at 5:30 p.m. Neither New Castle nor Rushville posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Tuesday, New Castle didn't have quite enough to beat Jay County and fell 3-1.

New Castle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Sticco, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Sticco also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Rushville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Greensburg, falling 11-1.

Rushville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for New Castle, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

New Castle came out on top in a nail-biter against Rushville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
