Recap: Oakwood Eagles vs. Ridgecroft Rams
This season hasn't been kind to the Oakwood Eagles, who are still winless after their 12th game. They were outmatched by Ridgecroft on the road and fell 84-9. Oakwood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-2.
Sawyer Chamblee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ridgecroft, scoring 21 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Nacir Lewis, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Oakwood's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Ridgecroft, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakwood on the road again on Friday and play against Rocky Mount Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Ridgecroft, they will take on Lawrence Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lawrence Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
