Baseball Recap: East Lee County's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

East Lee County's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Dunbar Tigers an 11-0 shutout. The victory was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

East Lee County picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Dunbar, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Lee County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Immokalee at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. Dunbar also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against Gateway at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th.
