Basketball Game Preview: Lambert Longhorns vs. South Forsyth War Eagles

Lambert and South Forsyth are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Lambert Longhorns will be playing at home against the South Forsyth War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lambert knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 24 games -- so hopefully South Forsyth likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Lambert was fully in charge, breezing past West Forsyth 86-55. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, South Forsyth suffered their closest loss since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Alpharetta by a score of 61-58. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lambert pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.9 points per game. As for South Forsyth, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

Lambert took their win against South Forsyth when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 76-52. Will Lambert repeat their success, or does South Forsyth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
