Baseball Game Preview: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. Hemet Bulldogs

The Citrus Hill Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Hemet Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Citrus Hill's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Hemet's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Citrus Hill turned things around against Orange Vista on Thursday. They skirted past the Coyotes 3-2.

Citrus Hill's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joel Raya, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. That's the most runs Raya has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Hemet came up short against Moreno Valley on Thursday and fell 9-5. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Citrus Hill's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Hemet, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Citrus Hill beat Hemet 3-0 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
