Basketball Recap: Neuse Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Neuse Christian Academy played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 42-21 to the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Lion: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Neuse Christian Academy lost, don't look at Morgan Little. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points along with five boards and five steals. That's the most steals Little has posted since back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allie McIntosh, who went 7 of 14 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Schutte, who had seven points and 16 boards.

Neuse Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Neuse Christian Academy nor Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill have any future games scheduled.
