Volleyball Recap: Monarch Takes a Loss

Monarch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Mountain Empire Redhawks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royals of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Monarch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Mountain Empire, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Monarch will look to defend their home court on Monday against Southwest SD at 4:00 p.m. As for Mountain Empire, they will head out on the road to face off against High Tech CV at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
