Recap: Norwich RVT Warriors vs. Cheney RVT Beavers

The Norwich RVT Warriors had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Cheney RVT 42-28 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Norwich RVT also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Cristialis Carrasquillo and Trinity Hazel certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Carrasquillo scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Hazel scored 14 points. Carrasquillo has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Keishly Lopez, who scored two points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Norwich RVT's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Cheney RVT, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Norwich RVT will head out on the road to challenge Vinal RVT at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Vinal RVT comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Cheney RVT, they will be playing at home against Grasso Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Grasso Tech is coming into the match with six straight wins on the road, meaning Cheney RVT will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
