Mohawk had won four straight games and Emerson Gurney did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Bucyrus Redmen with a sharp 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Gurney, who had 22 digs and four aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 14 times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mohawk was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-13.

Mohawk's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Bucyrus, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mohawk will challenge New Riegel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bucyrus, they will head out to take on Mapleton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
