Basketball Game Preview: Botkins Trojans vs. Parkway Panthers

The Botkins Trojans and the Parkway Panthers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Botkins will be strutting in after a victory while Parkway will be coming in after a loss.

Parkway is hoping to do what Jackson Center couldn't on Friday: put an end to Botkins' winning streak, which now stands at three games. Botkins came out on top in a nail-biter against Jackson Center, sneaking past 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted against the Tigers since January 8, 2021.

Meanwhile, Parkway was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 53-48 to Fort Recovery.

Botkins pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Parkway, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Botkins came up short against Parkway in their previous matchup back in January, falling 43-39. Can Botkins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
