Softball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Northridge fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Woods Cross on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 10-9. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Aubrey Solomon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Madisyn Lecour was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Makaybree Nay, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Northridge's record is now 5-14. As for Woods Cross, their record now sits at 7-13.

Coming up, Northridge will face off against Viewmont on Saturday. As for Woods Cross, they will take on Box Elder at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bees will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
