Softball Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Freedom fell victim to East River and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 15-0. The Patriots have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for East River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom will welcome Colonial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots are facing the Grenadiers at the right time seeing as the Grenadiers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for East River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boone at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
