Softball Recap: Highway 6 Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Highway 6, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Ord Chanticleers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Trailblazers in their matchups with the Chanticleers: they've now won three in a row.

Addisyn Norris was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Alexa Hale was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Highway 6 was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .394 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Highway 6's record now sits at 5-9. As for Ord, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Highway 6 didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-3 win against Southern Valley/Alma on the 25th. As for Ord, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-1 loss against Centura on the 18th.
