Soccer Game Preview: NCSSM: Durham vs. Raleigh Charter

The NCSSM: Durham Unicorns will head out to square off against the Raleigh Charter Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. NCSSM: Durham is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

While NCSSM: Durham's victory against Wake Prep Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Unicorns won by a goal and slipped past the Guardians 3-2.

Ava Cummings and Atha Brantley scored all three of NCSSM: Durham's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Meanwhile, Raleigh Charter earned a 3-1 win over Falls Lake on Monday.

NCSSM: Durham's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matches. As for Raleigh Charter, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

NCSSM: Durham took their victory against Raleigh Charter in their previous meeting on April 8th by a conclusive 8-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Unicorns since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
