Softball Recap: Decatur Comes Up Short

Decatur lost against Peninsula back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Golden Gators took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seahawks. The Golden Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luci Pech and Kahea Sharpe did some serious damage despite the final result: Pech went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Sharpe went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Pech's first of the season.

Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Peninsula, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Decatur does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Peninsula, they have already played their next game, a 10-8 win against Auburn Mountainview on the 17th.
