Volleyball Recap: Hampton Roads Academy Comes Up Short

Hampton Roads Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks. The Navigators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mighty Oaks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Hampton Roads Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Hampton Roads Academy's record now sits at 0-7. As for Norfolk Collegiate, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hampton Roads Academy will challenge rival Steward at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Norfolk Collegiate is set to square off against their familiar foe Norfolk Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
