Soccer Recap: Mascoma Takes a Loss

Mascoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 5-1 to the Hopkinton Hawks. While losing is never fun, Mascoma can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Hopkinton are ranked eighth).

Mascoma's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-2. As for Hopkinton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mascoma will face off against Kearsarge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hopkinton, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Bishop Brady at 4:00 p.m.
