Recap: Longview Lobos vs. Whitehouse Wildcats
The Longview Lobos can now show off 17 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 65-27 win over Whitehouse on the road. Given Longview's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Wildcats are ranked 856th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Longview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Head, who scored six points along with six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Blandburg, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
The win was the fourth in a row for Longview, bringing their record for this year to 26-3. As for Whitehouse, they dropped their record down to 7-18 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Longview will take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Texas is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Whitehouse, they will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
