Softball Recap: Marsing Find Success

Marsing's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the American Falls Beavers by a score of 7-2.

Natalie Thoene was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Lily Thoene was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Marsing was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Marsing's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for American Falls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marsing will host Nampa Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season. As for American Falls, they will face off against Snake River at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.67 runs per game on average), something the Beavers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
