Omaha North won the last time they faced Omaha Northwest and Amillo Coppage-Wheeler did his part to make sure it happened again. The Vikings came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 46-35 on Tuesday thanks in part to Coppage-Wheeler, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Omaha Northwest lost, don't look at Dawayne Kearney. Despite the final result, he earned 14 points and four steals. Kearney is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Jakyi Johnson was another key player, putting up a point and 13 boards.

Omaha North's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Omaha Northwest, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Omaha North will host Papillion-LaVista South at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Omaha Northwest, they will head out on the road to challenge Bryan on Friday. The Huskies will be up against the Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 76.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
