Baseball Game Preview: Mountain Grove Panthers vs. Houston Tigers

The Mountain Grove Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Houston Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Mountain Grove hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Mountain Grove came up short against Conway on Friday, falling 11-1.

Mountain Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Haughey, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Houston came up short against Alton on Saturday and fell 8-4. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mountain Grove now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Mountain Grove beat Houston 10-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
