Volleyball Recap: Garner Find Success

Garner lost to Poolville on Thursday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Longhorns came out on top against the Monarchs by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Longhorns.

While Garner won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-21.

Makayla Gonzalez paced Garner's offense, picking up 12 kills. Gonzalez got some help from Kaylin Long and her nine assists. Long was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win got Garner back to even at 6-6. As for Poolville, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
