Football Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mountain View fell victim to Wellington and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 67-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The Mountain Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Wellington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tanner Gray out in front who rushed for 49 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 37 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Gray a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Brayton Meglen was another key rusher, rushing for 79 yards and two scores.

Mountain View is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Wellington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will host Gateway at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wellington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Timnath at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
