Softball Game Preview: Postville Pirates vs. South Winneshiek Warriors

Postville hasn't had much luck against South Winneshiek recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m.

Postville is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 10-0 to Kee.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Winneshiek). They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over West Central on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won nine in a row.

Postville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South Winneshiek, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Postville suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to South Winneshiek in their previous meeting back in July of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
