Volleyball Recap: Atkins Comes Up Short

Atkins lost against Mayflower back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to the Eagles.

Atkins took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-15.

Atkins dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Mayflower, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Atkins is taking a road trip to face off against Paris at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mayflower has already played their next contest (against Baptist Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
