Basketball Recap: Vernon Wins Going Away Against Mineral Wells

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holliday, Vernon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They wrapped up 2024 with a 60-42 win over the Mineral Wells Rams. The match marked the Lions' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Vernon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Mineral Wells, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Vernon will take on Midway in a tournament on Friday. Vernon is facing Midway at the right time seeing as Midway is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Mineral Wells and Cedar Ridge will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
