Casady dropped their record down to 9-7 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Washington Warriors. The Cyclones were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Warriors' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Washington, their record is now 15-7. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

For Washington's part, Owen Andrews was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Andrews has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Liam Keltner and Y Bello did most of the damage at the plate: Keltner got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Bello went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Bello's first of the season. Jackson Mays was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Washington beat Casady by a score of 15-0 later that day.
