Basketball Recap: Southeast Wins Going Away Against Hulett

It's playoff time, and Southeast had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Hulett Devils on Thursday as the Southeast Cyclones made off with a 54-34 victory. The Cyclones haven't had any issues with the Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ayden Desmond was his usual excellent self, going 10-for-19 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least 17 points. TJ Moats was another key player, shooting 71% from the field to rack up 11 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks.

Southeast smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.

Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Hulett, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Southeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-64 loss against Lingle-Fort Laramie on the 28th. As for Hulett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-58 defeat against Kaycee on the 28th.
