Baseball Recap: Mount Juliet Comes Up Short

Mount Juliet suffered their closest loss since April 2, 2025 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Ravenwood Raptors by a score of 5-3. The Golden Bears haven't had much luck with the Raptors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mount Juliet got a good showing from Matthew Dickey, who struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Brady Patterson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Carter Lewis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Mount Juliet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ravenwood, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

While Mount Juliet had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
