Baseball Recap: Schurr Comes Up Short

Schurr was the 4-1 winner over Montebello when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oilers on Wednesday.

Schurr saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Hernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Schurr's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Montebello, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

While Schurr had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
