Baseball Recap: Central Dewitt Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Central DeWitt came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the West Delaware Hawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central DeWitt also won the last time the pair played back in July of 2024.

Central DeWitt pushed their record up to 16-17 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for West Delaware, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central DeWitt beat West Delaware by a score of 5-2 later that day.
