Preview: Einstein Titans vs. Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles
After three games on the road, Einstein is heading back home. They will take on the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Einstein is ranked 91st, while Seneca Valley is ranked 70th).
Last Wednesday, Einstein suffered a rough 67-42 defeat at the hands of Bethesda-Chevy Chase. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Einstein has suffered against Bethesda-Chevy Chase since January 30, 2019.
Meanwhile, Seneca Valley put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 81-32 victory over Wootton. Seneca Valley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Seneca Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Addison, who scored 16 points along with six assists and six steals. Addison is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brielle Watson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Einstein's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Seneca Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Einstein came up short against Seneca Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 60-48. Can Einstein avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
