Volleyball Recap: Perry County Comes Up Short

Perry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Collinwood Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-10.

Collinwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Saydee Powell led the charge by getting 11 kills, 11 digs, and three aces. Jordan Andrews was another key player, getting five digs and five aces.

Perry County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Collinwood, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Perry County has already played their next contest (against Zion Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Collinwood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hampshire on the 2nd.
