Basketball Game Preview: Ola Mustangs vs. Jones County Greyhounds

Ola hasn't had much luck against Jones County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ola Mustangs will host the Jones County Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ola comes in on three and Jones County on six.

Ola is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Eagle's Landing by a score of 59-47 on Tuesday. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ola had a senior duo take command as Aijah Manning dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 boards and Elissa Means dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Those 19 points gave Means a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tameya Miller, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Jones County over Locust Grove in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Jones County blew Locust Grove out of the water with an 82-24 final score. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 34 points or more this season.

Jones County's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Ola, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
