Meanwhile, Bolivar entered their tilt with Nevada on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They won by a set and slipped past the Tigers 3-2.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Bolivar got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-13, 15-25, 25-17, 25-27, 15-4.
Bolivar had a senior duo take command as Anna Vaughn had 12 digs and Rayna Wilson had three digs and 15 assists. Vaughn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Bolivar was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.
Springfield Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-13-3 record this season. As for Bolivar, their win bumped their record up to 11-18-1.
