Garinger took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Everything went their way against the West Charlotte Lions as the Garinger Wildcats made off with a 9-0 victory. The Wildcats have beaten the Lions the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.

Garinger's offense was hitting West Charlotte from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Jessica Pastrana led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

West Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Garinger wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 6-0 loss against Corvian Community on the 26th. As for West Charlotte, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Palisades on the 25th.
