Baseball Recap: Patrick Henry Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Patrick Henry won the last time they faced Point Loma and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots' pitchers stepped up to hand the Pointers a 5-0 shutout. The game was the first time the Patriots have beaten the Pointers on their field since April 18, 2023.

Patrick Henry let Tyson Bobo and Alex Mestman run wild. Bobo went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Mestman went 3-for-4 with two runs. That's the most hits Mestman has posted since back in April of 2024.

Patrick Henry's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6-1. As for Point Loma, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry will welcome St. Augustine at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 2.6, the Saints 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Point Loma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against University City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pointers are facing the Centurions at the right time seeing as the Centurions are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
