Softball Recap: Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy challenged Merritt Island Christian on Thursday. The Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Merritt Island Christian Cougars. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Caleigh Schmoll made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Merritt Island Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on The First Academy at 11:00 a.m. on March 29th. Merritt Island Christian also won't see the field for a while: their next match is against Perrysburg at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
