Basketball Recap: West Side Find Success

If Aberdeen wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played West Side, they should've done a better job of containing Harley Nielsen. The West Side Pirates came out on top against the Aberdeen Tigers by a score of 47-36 on Saturday thanks in part to Nielsen, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (five).

Another player making a difference was Miley Cundick, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played.

West Side's record is now 5-14. As for Aberdeen, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

West Side has already played their next contest (against Grace), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Aberdeen will square off against Declo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aberdeen is facing Declo at the right time seeing as Declo is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
