Manokotak came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Chief Ivan Blunka Eagles 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Lynx: when they faced off against the Eagles last Friday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Manokotak wouldn't go down easily and took Chief Ivan Blunka into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-27, 15-12.

The win got Manokotak back to even at 5-5. As for Chief Ivan Blunka, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Manokotak has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Togiak on the 14th. Hopefully Chief Ivan Blunka paid attention to the Lynx's contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lynx at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
