On Tuesday, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf didn't have quite enough to beat North Phoenix Preparatory Academy and fell 17-14.
Despite the defeat, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf had strong showings from Argelia Rojas, who scored six points along with six steals and three blocks, and Alyssa Clark Dequier, who scored six points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Clark Dequier.
Meanwhile, Valley Lutheran came up short against North Valley Christian Academy on Monday and fell 42-32.
Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Valley Lutheran, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Phoenix Day School for the Deaf was dealt a bruising 52-10 loss at the hands of Valley Lutheran when the teams last played back in January. Can Phoenix Day School for the Deaf avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
