Volleyball Recap: Citrus Takes a Loss

Citrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Viera Hawks.

Elin Ackerman paced Citrus' offense, picking up six kills. Ackerman got some help from Ella Merchant and her nine assists.

Among those leading the charge was Allie Brown, who had seven aces and three digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Citrus' loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Viera, their record now sits at 8-14.

Citrus has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against St. Johns Country Day on the 4th. As for Viera, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Spanish River on the 4th.
