Basketball Recap: Centennial Broncos vs. Tri County Trojans
Centennial was the 59-26 winner over Tri County when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Centennial Broncos took a 51-36 bruising from the Tri County Trojans on Saturday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Isabelle Peters was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 15 points, ten boards, and ten steals for Tri County. Macey Gronemeyer was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 12 points.
Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Tri County, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will challenge Fillmore Central on Tuesday. Centennial is facing Fillmore Central at the right time seeing as Fillmore Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tri County, they will host Thayer Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
