Baseball Game Preview: Leipsic Vikings vs. Swanton Bulldogs

The Leipsic Vikings will square off against the Swanton Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Leipsic 4, Swanton 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Leipsic fell victim to Bluffton and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. Considering the last time the Vikings couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Swanton got the win against Toledo Christian on Monday by a conclusive 14-4. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Swanton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Leipsic, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.
