Softball Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Goddard's offense. They came up short against the Artesia Bulldogs on Friday, falling 7-0. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Goddard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marisol Hernandez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Artesia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Artesia beat Goddard by a score of 10-0 later that day.
